Order of tests in the execution plan

We have a suite of manual regression tests which are organised in a hierarchical folder structure in the tests section. Some tests rely on others being run first. However when these tests appear in the manual execution planning section they appear as individual tests without any reference to the folder structure to which they belong. When these tests are assigned to a tester the order of the tests is lost so we are having to re-order the tests within the execution plan each time we run them which is a time consuming and painful process.

Copying the execution cycle doesn't work well as we add to this suite on a regular basis and new tests still have to be re-ordered.

Is there something we can do to retain the order of the tests from the tests section through into the execution section?

Hi,

 

Since there is no sort by tree path and order in the Test Assignment grid, you have to reorder the tests manually.

Please raise an RFE via support line.
