Silk Performer Test Properties and Standard Derivation

Hi All,

We are trying to integrate Silk Performer with Silk Central.

1) If we log into SilkCentral -> Tests -> Select a Test Case -> Silk Performer Test Properties ->  Drill down to Edit and try to map the Silk Performer test cases to the SilkCentral tests.  It seems that the Silk Performer Test Properties are only accept the Silk Performer project and Workload as input.  Our Silk Performer project has multiple test cases, and how can we map each test case to individual test case in Silk Central?  Currently it seems that we only can map at the project level.

2) We loaded the Silk Performer results into SilkCentral.  We like to get the performance data for some custom timers.  We query the "TM_TestDefExecutions" table, and we can see the min and max performance data for the custom timers.  Is there any table contains the Standard Derivation of the calculation?  If we run the report in Silk Performer, we can see this piece of data also.  Where we can find this piece of information in Silk Central.

Thank you,

Hi kkyy,

1) Please use the workload to specify which test(s) of the project you want to map. This way you can map each one or more Transactions to a SC test.

2) Please check table TM_PerfReportMeasure, there you can find the data available per measure in SC.

Hubert

Hi Huber,  thank you for your answers!

For question1, can you please clarify how can we do that?  After I choose the workload in the Silk Performer Test Properties-Select Workload, the next button is grey out.  How can we use workload to specify which test we can map to SC test?  Please see the attachment.

For question 2, we are looking for the Standard Deviation information for the Silk Performer timers.  Please see the attachment.  We don't see any column has this piece of information in TM_PerfReportMeasure table.

Hi kkyy,

@1: A Silk Performer test is more than just a script it always is in the context of a workload, which can be of different types and defines script, usergroup, number of users, simulation time and a lot of other things to consider when executing the test. Therefore you have to create the workload in Silk Performer which then can be used in Silk Central.

@2: If your SP test generates the file "loadtestReport.xml" you can find it in SC in the test run results dialog on the "Files" tab. This file contains measures. The StandardDeviation can be found in element "StDev".

Hubert

Thank you Hubert,

For 2, we can locate the "loadtestReport.xml". Can we query any DB table to get the same information include the "StDev". We like to include this piece of info in our report?

Thank you!

Hi kkyy,

Sorry for not answering earlier.

I fear this is something which cannot be queried from the database. StandardDeviation is located in the xml file only.
