SilkCentral Execution Server vs Execution Server (Process)
[Migrated content. Thread originally posted on 23 April 2012]
It's not clear which service should be started on the server that contains the SCTM Web Server; SilkCentral Execution Server or Execution Server (Process)? The vmshares that run the Silk tests are setup to use Execution Server (Process), but no tests are run on the web server itself, so should that be set to SilkCentral Execution Server? The default after installing SCTM 2012 is Execution Server (Process).

Hi,
the recommendation is Execution Server (Process) - the default setting. The other one makes sense in specific situations only. For example classic SilkTest works with the process only.
Regards,
Florian
