Test Cycle and Execution Plan
Hi all,
We are new to Silk Central. If we go to Execution Planning, and right click the Project, we can see New Child Testing Cycle and New Child Execution Plan.
We are wondering what are the key differences between "Testing Cycle" and "Execution Plan"? How the "Testing Cycle" and "Execution Plan" should be used in Silk Central in term of executing test cases?
Thank you!

Hi kkyy,
Some points from the documentation which should help to explain this:
An execution plan is a collection of assigned tests that are stored in a single test container. An execution plan can be run at configurable schedules and deployed on specified execution servers.
Time and resources are managed together in the context of testing cycles. A testing cycle represents a period of time that has a set of manual testers and a set of tests assigned to it. Each manual tester in the testing cycle has a capacity, which is the amount of testing time that the tester has available for the testing cycle. Create testing cycles to plan and execute specific sets of manual tests.
Regards,
Hubert
