How can I add additional commands for Oracle Forms DMS monitoring?

The default OraFormsDMS.sep for Performance Explorer Oracle Forms Monitor is contained in

C:\Program Files\Silk\Silk Performer 7.3\Working\Essentials folder.

By default it has 78 defined commands that run during a monitoring interval but this can be adjusted to include others by following these instructions.

  1. Extract the contents of the OraFormsDMS.sep by double clicking it or open it with WINZIP to a folder named OraFormsDMS.
  2. Use Silk Performer to open the extracted OraFormsDMS.LTP
  3. Click PROJECT | PROJECT ATTRIBUTES
  4. Add the following project attributes:-

    Command : This is the command to be executed Type should be string, value should be the actual command to run, and default value should be the same as value.

    Command.Active : If TRUE then this command will be executed Type should be boolean, value should be true, and default value should be the same as value.

    Command.Column : The column to extract from the output of the command Type should be number, value should be the column number, and default value should be the same as value.

    #BDLMonitor79.Name : This is the description that appears in Performance Explorer Type should be string, value should be the actual description to appear, and default value should be the same as value.

    #BDLMonitor79.Type : This is the Measure type for Performance Explorer to display Type should be string, value should be the actual description to appear, and default value should be the same as value.

    #BDLMonitor79.Enabled : If TRUE then this measure is displayed. Type should be boolean, value should be true, and default value should be the same as value. Enter the above in the appropriate fields.

  5. Alter the following OraFormsDMS.BDF script constant to the desired number of configured commands:- e.g. CONST_NR_COUNTERS := 79;
  6. Ensure a TryScript works
  7. Go to FILE | EXPORT PROJECT and rename to a .sep format
  8. Place in the Working\Monitors folder
