How can I insert hex values into an ascii string?

How can I insert hex values into an ascii string?

Firstly, reference the Silk Performer Help file which can be accessed by going to FILE | CONTENTS from within the Silk Performer Workbench.  The section of interest is 'Escape sequences in string Constants'.

\x indicates that the next character to appear will be in hexadecimal representation, e.g. \x2A indicates an asterisk.

Using the Escape sequence option of \x we can perform the following example:

write("length=" + string(sizeof("a\x2Ab\x2Ac\x2Ad")

giving the output: - a* b*c*d
