How can I resolve the error "Permission denied - Changes on agent can not be set" when adding IPs to a remote agent via System Configuration Manager?

How can I resolve the error "Permission denied - Changes on agent can not be set" when adding IPs to a remote agent via System Configuration Manager?



This error is reported as the "Allow remote configuration" option was not enabled during installation of the agent. In order to add IPs remotely via System Configuration Manager you will need to open System Configuration Manager on each of the agents reporting the error and enable the "Allow remote configuration" option.
