How do I resolve the error "compile error SYN 1: "BENCHMARK" expected" on my "@codepage" function when compiling a SilkPerformer 2007 Web script in a previous version?

How do I resolve the error "compile error SYN 1: "BENCHMARK" expected" on my "@codepage" function when compiling a SilkPerformer 2007 Web script in a previous version?

When compiling a web script recorded in SilkPerformer 2007, which contains a "@codepage" function at the head of the script, in an earlier version of SilkPerformer, a compile error SYN 1: "BENCHMARK" expected error will be thrown.

Example:

Compiling...
C:\Program Files\Borland\SilkPerformer 2006 R2\Working\Projects\SP76_MIL_2_exported_exercise-5\Shopit.bdf
compile error SYN 1: "BENCHMARK" expected

This is caused by the fact that the "codepage" is a Multi-Byte identifier function which was introduced in SilkPerformer 2007. It is not supported in previous versions.

To resolve this error, simply comment-out the "codepage" function, as below:

//----------------------------------------------------------------------
// Recorded 11/13/2007 by SilkPerformer Recorder v7.6.0.3142
//----------------------------------------------------------------------
//@codepage(1252)

benchmark SilkPerformerRecorder

use "WebAPI.bdh"
