Monitoring ColdFusion MX on UNIX.

Monitoring ColdFusion MX on UNIX.

Silk Performer"s Server Analysis Module (SAM) provides "out of the box" support for monitoring ColdFusion MX via Windows perfmon, however SAM can also be used to monitor ColdFusion MX on other platforms by implementing REXEC commands to query the server.

The real-time performance metrics for ColdFusion MX can be queried through a command line utility called cfstat available from Adobe.

To monitor ColdFusion MX on Unix please do the following:

  1. Go to "MONITOR SERVER | PREDEFINED DATA SOURCE WIZARD | CUSTOM DATA | REXEC DATA"

  2. Enter the Administrative User Credentials to the Unix Box.

  3. Enter the required REXEC command to query the cfstat utility.

For detailed information on how to implement REXEC commands please see the Silk Performance Explorer User"s Guide which can be found by going to:

START | ALL PROGRAMS | SILK | SILKPERFORMER x.x | DOCUMENTATION
