With SilkPerformer 5.1 you can either install the full version or the Developers Edition.
The Developers Edition is slightly different to the normal version of SilkPerformer and requires a separate SilkPerformer Developer's Edition license for SilkMeter.

Getting this license error would indicate that you are using SilkPerformer Developer's Edition but do not have a license for it.

Either contact Support to obtain a Developer's Edition license, or if you have installed this version by mistake then simply uninstall it and install the normal version of SilkPerformer.

Please note that from SilkPerformer 5.1.1 Hotfix 2 or later both versions are installed together and you can launch either from the Windows Start | Programs menu.

The Developers Edition was renamed Developer Workbench in SilkPerformer 6.0.
