When running a .Net test driver test on agent machines is it necessary to modify the machine.config and the app.config file?

Modifying the machine.config file is only necessary if it needed to be modified to run on the controller machine as well. However, this should no longer be necessary with the introduction of SilkPerformer 7.0 as it allows an app.config file that can contain all types of possible configurations.

The app.config file and all depending assemblies need to be added to the data file section. These files will then be distributed to the agents.

If you require some specially installed assemblies on the agent, e.g. NUnit Framework, it is recommended these are installed on the agent machines as well. In the case of NUnit, it should be possible to just add the NUnit framework assemblies to the project.

The .NET Framework needs to be installed on all agent machines.
