When using Performance Explorer to monitor Unix the Rstat command is returning the CPU Idle column with the CPU Wait"s value and vice versa.

When using Performance Explorer to monitor Unix the Rstat command is returning the CPU Idle column with the CPU Wait"s value and vice versa.

This has been confirmed as a minor bug and there is a workaround for this issue.

The following steps need to be followed in order to obtain the correct value under the correct columns:-

- In Performance Explorer click Monitor Server then choose the Select from Pre-Defined Data Sources.
- Click Next
- Expend Custom Data
- Click Rexec Data
- Click Next
- Enter connection details for remote server
- When the window appears enter the following data into the specified fields,
- Measure Type - CPU Wait
- Measure Name - CPU Wait
- Command - MPStat
- Field Index - 15
- Lines to Skip - 1
- Click add
- NOTE The dialog will remain visible but the measure has been added, you just need to overwrite the old text with new text
-Enter the Values for CPU Idle
- Measure Type - CPU Idle
- Measure Name - CPU Idle
- Command - MPStat
- Field Index - 16
- Lines to Skip - 1
- Click add, the dialog will not disappear but the measure will be added.
- Close the dialog
- A window will appear and you need to select the measures you just added
- Click Finish
- And a new graph should appear with the new, correct measures in it.
