Why do I get "Error - could not start listening on port 19105" when trying to record a web application and how do I resolve this?
This issue can occur for reasons stated in the resolution When I launch the recorder I get the following error "Error could not connect to recorder on host local host at port 19105" If however you are still experiencing this issue after following the advice in this resolution then it may be that a firewall (local to the machine) is blocking the recording mechanism of SilkPerformer. Firstly you should run netstat -a from the commandline to determine the port is not in use by any other application.
To resolve, please disable the firewall and try to record again. If recording is successful then you should contact your local IT Support team to have the firewall rules modified. If the error is still shown after disabling the firewall please contact Borland Technical Support.
