Installing licenses in SilkMeter (video)

This video demonstrates adding a license to SilkMeter.

When you open SilkMeter Policy Administrator there is already one key there by default – the SilkMeterAdminAccess 2.7 key. This key is required to allow SilkMeter to function correctly, and should not be removed.

There are 2 ways to import a license file:
1. Using the Red key icon.

Browse to the location of the license file, and select the license to import. After clicking 'Select' a pop-up will confirm that ‘All policies have been imported successfully’.

After import you can view the license file you have imported.

A license must be a Concurrent license to be imported into SilkMeter. What this means is, when the license is opened in a text editor you should see the line “allow standalone = true”, rather than “force standalone = true” as found in a Standalone license.
