Project Attribute truncates string

Jump to solution

 I'm attempting to pass a SOAP method via a Project Attribute in Silk Performer STM 16.5. The method itself is 307 characters long, but when I run the script I get the following error:

1    SOAP.bdf    65    Error    AttributeGetString    RT: 30 - Attribute access failed, string truncated, destination string length = 254 too small, type=STRING, name=SOAP Method

Is this a hard limit of a string variable, or is this a limitation of AttributeGetString? And can I solve it?

Found out you can specify the size of a var with parens. So I declared
sSOAP_Method: string(512);
and my script now works!
