Failure to uninstall Silk Test (multiple versions) - Java LAX error

If you get the following error when uninstalling Silk Test:-

 

java.lang.NullPointerException

                at com.zerog.ia.installer.LifeCycleManager.executeApplication(Unknown Source)
                at com.zerog.ia.installer.Main.main(Unknown Source)
                at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)
                at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)
                at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)
                at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)
                at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(Unknown Source)

then manually uninstall Silk Test using the following procedure:-

1. Stop the Open Agent in the systray

2. Stop the Infoservice (Control Panel |  Administrative Tools | Services)

3. Delete the Silk Test folder from Windows (normally C:\Program Files (x86)\Silk\Silk Test)

4. Remove the following Registry key completely:
