How can SilkTest retrieve text from a TextField that is being seen as a ThunderRT6 control ?

How can SilkTest retrieve text from a TextField that is being seen as a ThunderRT6 control ?

It seems that the application and active X extensions are not getting the proper injection. Check that extensions are set correctly and add the app executable to the extension enabler and SilkTest itself with the active x checkbox checked.

If injection is still lacking then try class mapping or recording a class for these controls.

Other than this a low level approach is also possible with TypeKeys and the clipboard class:

window.TextField.SetPosition (1,1)
window.TextField.PressKeys ("")
window.TextField.TypeKeys ("") // this highlights text
window.TextField.ReleaseKeys ("")
window.TextField.TypeKeys ("") // copies to clipboard

lsText = Clipboard.GetText ())
listprint (lsText)
