How can a string be TypeCast into a window ?

There are two methods of casting a string into a window. To cast a string to window explicit casting must be used. Some data types will allow implicit type-casting which means that no operator must be provided and 4Test will convert between the two data-types automatically. This is not the case however with String-Window conversion.

The first method uses the @ symbol e.g.

string sString
window wWindow = @sString

this will convert the value of sString to a window and set wWindow equal to it. The second method is much the same but uses the [window] specifier e.g.

string sString
window wWindow = [window]sString
