How can one ensure that Chinese characters in SilkTest International are not being returned as distorted illegal characters?
Basically when recording testcases on a Chinese application certain text characters can be returned as illegible character representations.
Shipped with SilkTest International 6.0 located in Program Files\Segue\SilkTest\Tools is FONT.t
By running this simple script in STi you are in essence modifying a few registry settings that will allow STi dialogs to display Unicode. By doing so it can process content in any language.

If an argument has been set, when running this testcase will modify the face name of the font used by the SilkTest application dialogs.
As a Unicode enabled application, SilkTest International can process content in any language. However, the ability to render Unicode content is limited by the font used in the application. This testcase allows you to modify the font used by the SilkTest dialogs to meet your testing needs.

2. In the Run Testcase dialog, in the arguments area, within quotes enter you want set in the registry.
3. Click .
4. You must reboot your machine for these changes to take effect.
Make sure you have installed the font you want to set in the registry.
Make sure you type the font correctly in the argument area of the Run Testcase dialog.
