How can the SilkTest error "***Error: Unable to connect to machine "<machine name>" - Host not found in hosts table" be overcome?

This problem can occur when trying to run a test against a remote SilkTest Agent . To overcome this problem, enter the IP address and fully qualified hostname of the remote machine in the "hosts" file on the local machine. The "hosts" file can be found at:

...\Winnt\system32\drivers\etc

Open the "hosts" file with Notepad and enter the IP address and machine name in the following format:

107.2.14.129 machine1.domain.com
