Is there an alternative to manually enabling the Java extension?

Yes, using the technique of using Java options as described in resolution Is it possible to enable the Java extension from command line? we are able to directly enable the Java extension for the Java application being run. It is also possible to prevent the need to modify the JRE being used to run the Java application and thus the technique can be used to enable the SilkTest Java extension on an "as-needs" basis.
