Is there anything specific that needs to be included in a DLL which is being created to be called in Silk Test 4Test?

Is there anything specific that needs to be included in a DLL which is being created to be called in Silk Test 4Test?

SilkTest can call functions from a standard Windows DLL. To call the functions however you need the functions to be placed in the "Export" table of the DLL. If these functions are not exported then SilkTest will not be able to utilise these functions.

Another thing to consider when calling DLLs is the parameters which will be passed into the function. Due to the way in which SilkTest works it is not possible to pass C/C++ style pointers into or return them from a function.

Records can be passed into functions being called from DLLs and is perfectly legal. However if the record contains another sub-record within its structure SilkTest will throw up an exception.
