Performing an Import / Export of Workbench Assets results in Out of Memory error

Why when attempting to export all assets from my Workbench database I experiencing the error "Unexpected Error occurred: Message = Out of memory".

When importing my exported assets to another database using the import assets wizard from workbench you may receive the error "No assets were retrieved from the specified media."

The issue can occur if assets have been exported to a single .xml file which is of a large size.  The suggested resolution is to export Workbench assets to individual XML files instead of a single .xml file for all assets.
