Silk Test Classic throws an error “Silk Test Classic has stopped working.” when using resexport command with Silk Test 15.0 on Win 8
When attempting to use the command “ partner –q – resexport – r “ against one of my test plans, Silk Test Classic throws an error “Silk Test Classic has stopped working.”
In order to resolve the issue, please try the following steps:-
* Ensure UAC has been disabled on the Windows 8 machine by opening Regedit and navigating to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
* In the right pane locate ‘EnableLUA’ and modify the value to 0.
* Close regedit.
* Attempt to reproduce Issue.
If the issue still occurs then please upgrade your license server to Silk Meter 15 as this has been known to also contribute to the error. Please also ensure that if you have a previous installation of Silk Meter installed, please uninstall it first before starting an installation of Silk Meter 15.
