Silk Test fails to verify two identical bitmaps from different Operating Systems
Created On: 17-05-2010
The DIB (device independent bitmap) function when saving a bmp on Linux operates differently to the DIB when saving a bmp on Windows. Consequently, trying to compare a Linux bitmap to a Windows bitmap will fail as they are actually in two slightly different formats that have the same extension. Most graphics programs can deal with this but the SilkTest VerifyBitmap() function cannot.
