SilkTest Workbench: How to resolve 'Unknown username 'Admin' error.

This error message indicates that the built-in 'Admin' account is no longer present in the Database; which you can confirm by accessing the table 'STW_ASSETMAIN', where the Admin asset should be the first record in the table.

If its not present you may not be able to confirm how and why the Asset was removed; but it can can be recreated by executing the following SQL query against the database:

INSERT INTO STW_ASSETMAIN ( TPID , TPNAME , TPCREATORID , TPCREATIONDATE , TPLASTMODIFIERID , TPLASTMODIFIEDDATE , TPOBJECTTYPE , TPASSOCIATEDPROJECTID , TPVERSIONNUMBER , TPSECURITY , TPLOCKID , TPFLAGS , TPANCESTORID , TPACTIVEVERSION , TPDELETED , TPUNIQUENAME )
VALUES ( '1' , 'Admin' , '1' , #02/11/10 13:26# , '1' , #02/11/10 13:26# , '1' , '0' , '0' , '0' , '0' , '0' , '0' , '0' , '0' , 'FF21FF24FF2DFF29FF2E' ) ;
