The dialog "The user does not have the SQL permission 'View Server State' permission" appears when opening Silk Test Workbench

The dialog "The user does not have the SQL permission 'View Server State' permission" appears when opening Silk Test Workbench

This SQL Server related warning can occur if the SQL Server user associated with the Silk Test Workbench ODBC on the local machine does not have the 'VIEW SERVER STATE' permission.

To resolve the issue ask your DBA or a colleague who has SQL Server 'sysadmin' privileges to execute the below script against the SQL Server user associated with the Silk Test Workbench ODBC :

USE master
GRANT VIEW SERVER STATE TO user

If the SQL Server Administrator does not have a user profile with a sysadmin server role then the above script may not execute due to incorrect permissions.
