What could cause Internet Explorer to open slowly when using the DOM extension?

If the "Fault trap" extension has been enabled for Internet Explorer in the Option/Extensions and Extension Enabler, then this may have the adverse effect of slowing down the loading of the browser when using Browser.SetActive().

The "Fault trap" is used to determine the actions taken by SilkTest when a general protection fault is encountered. This option should not be enabled as a general rule and is only used for debugging purposes as there are a number of checks performed which will slow down performance.

To avoid this, please ensure that the "Fault trap" extension setting is not loaded for Internet Explorer or any other application under test unless recommended by Technical Support.
