When trying to update an Excel Spreadsheet through SilkTest, what can cause the error "Operation must use an updateable query."?

The ODBC connection that is applied to the Excel spreadsheet may be set to ReadOnly. To be able to perform an "INSERT" or "UPDATE" on an Spreadsheet you need to change this. This can be done by adding "ReadOnly=False" to your connection string e.g.

hdbc = DB_Connect ("DSN=xcel;ReadOnly=False")
