Why do I get error message "*** Error: Invalid handle" when using IniFile functions.

Why do I get error message "*** Error: Invalid handle" when using IniFile functions.

When using IniFile functions (IniFileClose / IniFile Close / IniFileGetValue / IniFileSetValue) and you get error message “*** Error: Invalid handle”, the most likely reason is that you are remotely running scripts from one machine against another machine.

Example, when using IniFileGetValue function and you get the above error message:-

- The function IniFileGetValue retrieves a value from an open initialization (.ini) file on the host system and is NOT designed for remote access.

- Instead, use method SYS_ IniFileGetValue which retrieves a value from an .ini file on the target machine and IS designed for remote access.
