Why do I get "Wrong ELF Class..." error on Solaris 9 and 10 once I have configured a terminal session for the Agent?

Why do I get "Wrong ELF Class..." error on Solaris 9 and 10 once I have configured a terminal session for the Agent?

On Solaris, once you have configured a terminal session for the Agent (by running the supplied set_env.csh or set_env.sh shell script) you may get errors running other commands in that session. You may see an error similar to this:

bash-2.05$ ps
ld.so.1: ps: fatal:
/home/kwhite/marks_new/install/sun4sol29/SilkTest/libx/libSegue.so.4:
wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
Killed

This is because the terminal session is now in 32-bit mode and most Solaris commands are 64-bit.

To workaround the problem, open another terminal session to run your commands.
