Automating HTML 5 and Flex mixed application using silk test classic 15.0 using 4test scripting

Hi ,

We are automating flex based application using silk test classic 15.0 tool , now for the upcoming releases we are planning to migrate to HTML 5.

Few pages in the application will be in HTML 5 and few pages will be in Flex.

Is it possible to automate this kind of application.

Thanks in advance

RE: Automating HTML 5 and Flex mixed application using silk test classic 15.0 using 4test scripting

Hi Selvam,

The migration to Html 5 in itelsf should not cause any issues; but will need to enable automation support for the Flex part of the application under test. However, if the developers updated the app to a newer version of Flex, it could cause a compatability issue because SilkTest 15.0 only supports Flex up to version 3.5. If for example the app was updated to Flex 4.0 or newer, you would have to upgrade SilkTest to a version that supports the Flex version used.
