How do I record a visual test using the Command Prompt?

Jump to solution

Hey All,

Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction as to how I may record a visual test using the windows command prompt?

I am able to open the  external program, but Silktest does not recogonize the program and is not an option to select when beginning the recording.

Greatly appreciate any documentation or steps as to how I may achieve this.

Thanks,

You won't be able to use a Visual test to automate the command prompt but you can use a .Net script, look at the ConsoleWindow object, e.g.

ConsoleWindow.TypeKeys("cls<Enter>dir<Enter>")
Dim s As String = ConsoleWindow.GetContents()
MsgBox(s)

//*eggbox
