Silk Test Classic script not working in Win 10 IE11

Hi All,

We are on Silk Test 19.5 with Hot Fix 1.

We develop our automation scripts using Silk Test Classic and running on Open Agent.  Our scripts are running fine on Window 7 with IE 11 version 11.0.9600.19339.

Lately we upgraded our machines to Window 10 with IE 11 version 11.38085.14393.0.  The same scripts are running fine in Window 7 but not in Window 10.  It seems that the click() is not working in Window 10.

Ex:

WebBrowser.BrowserWindow.TestClient.Click() - Working in WIn 7, but Not working in Window 10.

WebBrowser.BrowserWindow.TestClient.DomClick() - Working in Window 10 if change to DomClick()

It seems that we have to change all the Click() to DomClick() in order for it to work in Window 10.  But this is too much to update all of our scripts.

Anyone has any suggestion?  Thank you!

Re: Silk Test Classic script not working in Win 10 IE11

Hi @kkyy

When using the Click method against IE11, Silk Test should attempt to move the mouse cursor over the control and perform a user-like click. If this is not working, it could simply be a timing problem, in that Silk Test is performing the actions too quickly for the browser.

You could try increasing the mouse event delay (Options | Agent |  Timing) to verify if this increases the stability of the mouse click. If not, it may be best to open a support incident for an engineer to have a closer look at the problem.

Re: Silk Test Classic script not working in Win 10 IE11

We try by increasing the mouse event delay to 5 sec, then 10 sec, same issue still appears. Any other option we can try? We already contact the support, but no solution for it yet. Thank you!
