SilkTest Classic API for third party ALM solutions

Jump to solution

Hi there,

does SilkTest provide an API to execute SilkTest tests out of third party ALM solutions or test management tools like HP QC, IBM RQM, etc.?

I know there is SCTM but i want to evaluate the compatibility to third party tools. It should be possible to create a Silktest Agent that runs the tests from a third party tool and returns the test result information.

best regards,

Pascal

Hello Pascal,

you can start Silk Test Classic from the command line. Using the -r parameter with a test file name enables you to execute all test cases in the specified file. You can use the SEGUE_HOME environment variable to find the Silk Test Classic executable, partner.exe. For example with PowerShell: $partnerPath = "$env:SEGUE_HOME\partner.exe". For additional information, see Starting Silk Test Classic from the Command Line.
