Error Message:

After deploying the Active Directory 2008 R2 solution template you notice that the SiteScope service will not start and you are receiving an error of  java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 10 10... in the error.log

The error message seen in the <SiteScope>\logs\error.log is:

Cause:

While deploying the "Active Directory 2008 R2" solution template, the user has provided more than 10 "Replicating Domain Controllers" in comma separated form. There is an internal hardcoded default maximum value of 10 for the number of "Replicating Domain Controllers".

Workaround / Fix:

1. Stop SiteScope

2. Open <SiteScope>\groups\master.config

3. Add the following to the last line (if you intend to deploy templates having more than 20 domain controllers listed, change the value to a suitable number): _maxNumReplicatingDC=20

4. Start SiteScope
