Missing Attachment file C:\<Repository Folder>\Attachments\ChangePackages_Attachments\00000000

Missing Attachment file C:\<Repository Folder>\Attachments\ChangePackages_Attachments\00000000

Problem:

When upgrading to StarTeam 13.0 the following error message is reported in the dbupgrade.log file

25 00000001 2012-12-25 20:41:42 Missing Attachment file C:\<Repository Folder>\Attachments\ChangePackages_Attachments\00000000

Resolution:

StarTeam 12.0 and later versions store attachments within the vault, in the same way that files are stored after check in.

The messages in the DBUpgrade log refer to attachments that could not be located during the upgrade. Typically these are attachments which have been moved or deleted.

To verify the attachments no longer exist, browse to the location stated in the message.

The log should confirm that any attachments that were located without any issues were moved successfully. This is confirmed by the following in the upgrade log:

23 00000001 2012-12-25 20:41:42 Moved 13 attachments to vault for component ‘Changes’ successfully

70 00000001 2012-12-25 20:41:42 All Attachments were moved over to vault storage successfully.

The upgraded StarTeam Server can be started up without any issue.

If you encounter any follow up issues which are related to attachments please contact technical support.
