Error 220: tree or server name could not be resolved

We have begun to see this error with increasing frequency on pending events which will not complete. We are receiving it on new account creates, moves, and on scheduled Groom processes. A single server seems to be presenting most of these errors but we've seen it on others as well. The 220 errors are showing up in the agent log as well. We have NSM 4.0 running on eDirectory managing OES11 file servers. Any ideas on what could cause this issue - please let me know if you would like me to email any logs to you.

Error '220' specifically refers to name resolution issues. Most times,
this is a SLP issue. Since you've indicated that this mostly seems to
center on a single server, please check that SLP is correctly configured
on this server, and that other name resolution services (e.g. DNS) can
also correctly resolve this server name.
