bad badeclass <Alias> - does not associate policy

Hello,

NSM seems to be functioning great on our main campus...however, I was going
to use it to save me from some manual labor at a satellite location and
below are the error I received.
Our engine, sentinal, event server is NW6.5SP5, but the machine where the
changes were requested is a NW6sp5 box. Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Chris G.

Re: bad badeclass <Alias> - does not associate policy

oh no...did I committed the same problem/request twice? The NW6sp5e box in question has clib 5.90.10. Obviously you stated it needed to be 5.90.12 for NW6.5. I will check for a clib update for NW6.

Re: bad badeclass <Alias> - does not associate policy

I updated clib to 5.90.13 and restart the server. I have the context
selected in the policy view...but when I go to do a consistency check or
attempt to try a backfill, it claims no policy is assigned. No messages to
the console...let me know if I need to look elsewhere to find an error log.

Chris,
Can you send a dumpconfig to storagemanager-at-novell.com?

thanks,

For those who experience something simular to this... make sure you have specified you target path...this will effectively disable the policy.
