fsfengin.nlm - Abend Thread Owned by STATUSLG.NLM

Hi,
we start work with NSM a short time ago. First it work fine, but now if i
start the engine the server abend with STATUSLG.NLM!
If i start the Engine the Eventqueue count up until the server abend!
Is there any chance to delete all queued Event before start the engine so i
can exclude that the engine have a general problem!
How can i analyse the problem?

Who can tell me where i can find technical Documentation about NSM. (not the
Adminguide) Are there exists any TID´s that show how to reinstall/move the
Engine!

Gruß
Andy

Re: fsfengin.nlm - Abend Thread Owned by STATUSLG.NLM

Hi
in the meantime i reinstall the Engine-Server. I use the documentation "Move
the NSM 2.x Engine to another server" from www.storagemgr.com to do so.
Also i copy the original folders (DBASE,LOGS,STATS...SENTINEL..) to the new
Installationfolder (overwrite all) and Engine-Server works until now!!!
Is this method supported and correct? What Information i lost by this
method?
Is it also possible to find out the causation from the abend?

Andy

Andy,

Send your abend log file to storagemanager -at- novell.com as well as a
config file. We will look to see if there is anything we can tell from
that. You should be ok with the engine move if you followed the posted
procedure. Is the engine still running on the new server?
