Any way to post server status to a html page?

My wonderful Boss wants to be able to check NOC status from his pocketnet cell phone. I have been asked to figure out a way to collect up/down status for a few dozen key systems around here and post them on our internet site ala sitescope. I'm sure I could program something but this seems like a big effort to invent something that might already be out there somewhere.

I have made the ITO_Java and web accessible NNM stuff available but he feels that those are too conplicated.

Has anyone out there already done anything with this?
