Re: OMW hotfixes

Hello

My educated guess

* release bits is the official hotfix for an issue that HP has fixed

* debug bits is just an 'instrumented' binary compared to the original binary so more detailed logs can be obtained to see what is going on with the binary.

* deployable hotfixes are same as release bits but just that they can be deployed remotely from the management server. Most will fall under this category but then some hotfixes for obvious reasons cannot be part deployed remotely and has to be done manually with after specific manual operations on the node.

Your best bet is to ask the HP Support engineer who gives you the particular type of hotfix (for all of the above can only be received from an HP support engineer and you cannot download them directly) and they can advise you on the specific hotfix.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Ram

Re: OMW hotfixes

You may want to also refer to the Patch Types, doesn't really mention the information on the bits you're asking about, however it's always good to know...

Kind regards

Jim
