[ST OMU] Installation of 11.1x OMU agent in Windows node fails "component package HPOpsAgt failed"

Trying to install 11.10 or 11.11 agent on Windows node fails and the following errors show up in the installer.log file:

INFO: Found the packages to be of the version HPSharedComp(11.10.035)
INFO: Found HPSharedComp(11.10.51) installed. Skipping installation...
INFO: Installing the component HPOvPerlA ...
INFO: Found the packages to be of the version HPOvPerlA(05.08.096)
INFO: Installing the component HPOpsAgt ...
INFO: Found the packages to be of the version HPOpsAgt(11.10.035)
ERROR: Installation of the component package HPOpsAgt failed with error
(30344848)(Fatal error during installation.
ERROR: Installation cannot continue. Attempting to roll back the incomplete inst
INFO: Rolling back the component HPOpsAgt ...
INFO: Rolling back the component HPOvPerlA ...
INFO: Rolling back the component HPSharedComp ...
ERROR: HP Operations agent install operation completed with errors...

Same thing happens trying to install agent 11.11.

The windows platform is supported according to SUMA.

The hotfix QCCR1A149034 has been applied hoping the issue would get resolved but it remains exactly the same.


The root cause is unknown at this time.




Install packages manually in the following order:





Go to the installation folder and double click on each of the files mentioned above.

After this to finish the installation and the certificates configuration please run the installation commmand:

#oasetup.exe –install –management_server <your MS> -certificate_server <your_MS>


After this you can check if the agent installation has been succesful with the following commands:


#opcagt -status

#opcagt -version


The installation should have been completed successfully this time.
