[ST OMU] SI-SPI Auto-Discovery is not discovering a particular node

After following all the standard procedure for the Systems Infrastructure Smart plug-in (SI-SPI) in Operations Manager for Unix (OMU) still unable to see one particular node in “Auto-Discovery”

Steps tried:

1. verified that the command "ovpolicy -list" shows the "SI-SystemDiscovery" policy already deployed to the node.

2. Remove all the policies from the agent with the problem and redeploy again all the policies.

3. Then after all the policies were deployed execute into the agent the following

#ovagtrep –run SI-SystemDiscovery

#ovagtrep –publish –all

After this the problem remains.

agtrep.xml has not been properly registered on the node with the problem.

The agtrep process needs to be properly registered in the node with the problem.

To register the agtrep process you can issue the following commands:

#ovcreg -add /var/opt/OV/conf/ctrl/agtrep.xml

After the process agtrep has been registered the node it should do the discovery well running the following commands once again:

#ovagtrep –run SI-SystemDiscovery

#ovagtrep –publish –all
