Support Tip: How to list effective policy assignments for a node.

1) CLI (Command line interface) method:
This can be achieved by querying "opc_node_config" table of the OMU (Operations Manager for Unix) database.

There are 4 types of policy/template assignments in the database:
1. policy/template -> node
2. policy/template -> node group
3. policy/template group -> node
4. policy/template group -> node group

The "opc_node_config" table contains already resolved template assignments of all 4 types listed above.

The SQL query will use the following:

select st.template_name
from opc_node_config nc,
opc_source_templ st,
opc_node_names nn
where nc.template_id=st.template_id
and nc.node_id=nn.node_id
and nn.node_name='NODE_NAME'

Replace the 'NODE_NAME' (in quotes) with real hostname defined in OMU node bank.

For example, this SQL query may be wrapped in command line so it will give you the "Effective" policies assigned to node test.hp.com:

echo "select st.template_name,st.templ_version \
from opc_node_config nc, \
opc_node_names nn, opc_source_templ st \
where nc.node_id=nn.node_id \
and nc.template_id=st.template_id \
and nn.node_name='test.hp.com';" | \
/opt/OV/bin/OpC/opcdbpwd -e sqlplus -s

2) AdminUI (Administration UI) method:
OMU -> Node Bank -> Select required node -> from "Browse" drop down list select "Effective Policy Assignments"
