To configure email notification from HPOV alerts

Jump to solution

Hi Community,

We have HPOML version 9.11.100 over 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.8 (Tikanga)'.

We want to configure email notification from HPOV alerts for extremely critical servers.

Please share if anyone is using any script (Shell or perl) for email notification trigger when an alert is generated.

Please suggest what steps are required for configuring email notification for OML.

Regards,

Amrita

Hi Goran,

Thanks for your reply.

The Notification Services and Trouble-Ticket Systems sections is helpful.

But I have few more queries like :

There is no parameter defined for setting threshold value

My requirement is a mail will trigger when an alert receive for threshold breach but using opcnotischedule we can schedule it on specific times only. like on monady at 12 AM.

Hello.

If you are talking about measurement threshold policies, then a message is generated when values are over/below the specified threshold.  So simply configure that particular condition to be passed to the trouble ticket/notification service, whichever you prefer (there's a checkbox for each).
