Unix Filesystem monitor on the package node

Jump to solution
HP-UX 11.23 running HP ServiceGuard. Database filesystems associated with the database package. I'm looking for the best way to approach monitoring those filesystems that move with the package.

The Coda file system monitors just monitor everything that is active on the node unless you put in exceptions of what not to monitor so Coda policies/templates may work for you.

Hi,

What do you want to monitor ? Filesystem utilization ?
You can enable/disable policies while stopping and starting the package. You can modify serviceguard scripts to handle this automatically.

the file system monitor with OSSPI will also only monitor the file systems present. so you can configure both systems to monitor the same oracle file systems. Only the "active" node will actually monitor them.

Does the filesystem policy have to be included in the package node's xml file?
