What happened to provisional access (SLED/SLES)?

Over on Novell.Support.Sles.Updates, there's a topic named "Bent out of shape about eval licenses". I was going to reply to the topic that there was something like a 2-week provisional access if you didn't have an activation code. Then I went to test and it seems like this is another nice feature that Novell removed without notifying anyone. Can someone confirm?

Re: What happened to provisional access (SLED/SLES)?

Oh here is the document that refers to it:
NOVELL: Registering and Updating SUSE Linux Enterprise 10
(guessing this will disappear soon..)

There used to be another document here but Novell conveniently removed it:
