Click operation on WebElement is not working

Jump to solution

Hi,

In our application, there is an object - Dropdown element, which is not identified as standard WebList.

Instead it is getting identified as WebElement. So, we using the approach to click on WebElement (Country) which displays list of Countries. All the items in the list as identified as WebElements. Our requirement is to choose one item (country) from the list. When suing the method - Browser("").Page("").WebEelemt("").Click - UFT is performing the operation with out any error but the item is getting clicked/selected.

Could you pls suggest any alternative to select item from Dropdown...when items are identified as WebElements.

Thanks you. Any immediate response would be highly appriciated.

Hi there.

Try modifying the runtime property of mouse press over web elements like so:

Setting.WebPackage("ReplayType") = 1 - browser events

Setting.WebPackage("ReplayType") = 2 - mouse events (try this prior to clickng the web element)

Please report back with your findings...
