Not able to identify FlexStaticText Childobject under FlexWindow

Hi,

Please find code below

Set App_Obj = Browser("abc").Page("cde").FlexWindow("efg")
Set odesc = Description.Create()
    odesc("micclass").Value = "FlexStaticText"
    odesc("id").Value ="lblFeatureDescription"
    odesc("enabled").Value ="True"
    odesc("text").Value ="Server"
    Set Child_Obj = App_Obj.ChildObjects(odesc)
    msgbox Child_Obj.Count // Count is displayed as 0
    msgbox Child_Obj(0).getroproperty("uid") // msgbox is empty.

When we create FlexStaticText ChildObject its count is displayed as 0 and we are not able to identify it.

But same way we are able to identify FlexRadioButton and FlexCheckBox ChildObject under same FlexWindow.

Could anyone help in resolving this issue?

Re: Not able to identify FlexStaticText Childobject under FlexWindow

Hello Saranya,

     If you add one of the static text controls into the object repository what values it shows for "Class" and "Id"

     Attache a screenshot if posible.

Regards.

Re: Not able to identify FlexStaticText Childobject under FlexWindow

Hi,

Please find below property and value of FlexStaticText

"Class Name:=FlexStaticText",

"abs_x:=320",

"abs_y:=370",

"class_name:=com\.hp\.onevoice\.HPText",

"enabled:=True",

"height:=38",

"id:=privateInfo",

"nativebaselineclass:=mx\.controls\.Label",

"text:=Smart Link is recommended in active/active configurations and in domains configured with Primary Slice or Horizontal Stacking\. An uplink port is required to support Smart Link\.",

"tooltip:=",

"uid:=VCNetworkMgmt\.CustomScrollingApplicationSkin\._VCAppMandatoryScrollerSkin_Group1\.contentScroller\.VCVScrollBarSkin6\.contentGroup\.compNetworkMgmtContainer\.compNetworkEditorContainer\.compNetworkConfig\.vGrpNameColorLabels\.compNetworkOptions\.smartLinkInfoMsg\.HBox1738\.privateInfo",

"visible:=True",

"width:=577",

"x:=53",

"y:=177"

Thanks,

Saranya

Re: Not able to identify FlexStaticText Childobject under FlexWindow

Thank you for the detail Saranya,

     If you use just micclass as property, it returns controls?

Example:

Set App_Obj = Browser("abc").Page("cde").FlexWindow("efg")
Set odesc = Description.Create()
odesc("micclass").Value = "FlexStaticText"
Set Child_Obj = App_Obj.ChildObjects(odesc)
msgbox Child_Obj.Count

msgbox Child_Obj(0).getroproperty("uid")

Regards.

We tried with micclass but still msgbox is showing 0 for count and not able to retrieve child objects.

Re: Not able to identify FlexStaticText Childobject under FlexWindow

Hello Saranya,

     Please add one of the FlexStatic controls into the object repository.

     Select the control in the Object repository (to show the values on the right pane)

     Take a screenshot and attached in a post.

Regards.

Re: Not able to identify FlexStaticText Childobject under FlexWindow

Hello Saranya,

       Object Class is ok, so the next step would be check if the parent objects are the right ones.

       Could you please check the parent hierarchy of that control?

       Could you post also how are you calling them in your code.

Thank you bvery much,
